Henton Village Hall Facilities
Premises: The building is equipped with an air source heat pump for heating, and utilises electricity provided by photovoltaic cells on the roof. A backup oil-fired heating system is available in very cold weather. There is ample LED lighting to all areas. There is a large hall (The Rose Hall), which is suitable for badminton or short mat bowls, or seating up to 140 people theatre style. There is also a medium-sized meeting room (The Gibbs Room), that can seat about 40 people. There is a well-stocked, large kitchen and also a store room housing a range of tables and about 100 chairs. Further chairs are found in the Gibbs room. Curtains provide good blackout if audiovisual equipment is used.
The kitchen has ample crockery for about 120 people including cups, saucers, bowls, small and large plates, plus cutlery. Sundry additional cooking equipment including sharp knives, chopping boards, bottle/can openers, trays etc are available. Two kettles and hot water urn are also available. It is equipped with a dishwasher, ceramic hob, microwave oven and two large fan assisted electric ovens. A servery hatch and counter opens into the main hall. The PA amplifier sytem is also housed in the kitchen. A lapel microphone and 2 roving microphones are available. A microphone stand is housed in the store cupboard.
The car park has space for about 30 vehicles, with 3 designated disabled parking bays. It is well-lit and has step-free access to the hall. Additional parking can be arranged in an adjacent field if needed.
There is a large grassed area to the side of the hall, that is suitable for a wide range of outdoor activities.
